Alicia Keys' songs describe things that happen in everyday life, like racism between blacks and whites. She writes about when people or loved pass away. They also tell about how no one sees or feels the way she does.


She describes how she feels when no one else likes the person she's with. She's trying to tell how she felt and how she sees that some people don't like black girls with white guys.


She also tells in a song that is called, "How Much Is A Woman Worth?", that no matter what a man should always treat a woman like she is a princess. She says that no money in the world can ever amount to as much as a woman is worth.


Alicia Keys was born in New York. She had a normal life. Alicia's parents divorced and her mom raised them ever since. Alicia started taking piano lessions and then started chorus. That was a gift that she had . Then she finished school and went to Columbia University. She has been singing from the age of five and know is a famous singer. She dropped out of college and started her singing career. She is a big inspiration to everyone.
